The RITA Championships committee met at the new Baptist Medical Center Clay to present the check for $ 25,000.00 to Hospital President Darin Roark in September 2021. This amount represented the net proceeds from the 2021 RITA Championships event held at Club Continental in late March.
Attending from the committee were Molly Blackner, Adam Blackner, Elizabeth Burke, Kendall Taylor and Sherry Latta-Raines. Additional guests were Rosalind and Jim Arnold, parents of Molly Blackner.
Charles Jantz, President and Founder of The RITA Foundation announced that the $ 25,000.00 event proceeds will establish an Endowment in Honor of Molly and Adam Blackner and their four children. The Endowment proceeds will be directed to the new Baptist Clay Imaging Center to help fund mammograms for the underserved. Future event proceeds will be used to honor these committee members with proceeds going to the Baptist MD Anderson Imaging Center.
